Nothing here faces the public. Operations is the edition for the work that happens behind the counter: stock, fulfilment, assets, and the people doing it.

What it is
Internal ops, inventory, fulfilment, field teams.
Receiving, bins, processing, certification, rollover and dispatch are all present, and all on one ledger. The reason that matters is not tidiness. It is that the moment stock moves, the ledger moves, so the question "what do we actually have" has one answer rather than one answer per system.
It is the lightest footprint of the six and carries no compliance scope of its own, because it is not handling public money or citizen identity. If the business later needs to sell to the public or settle for others, the domains are already there — the edition changes, not the deployment.
Who buys it. Operators with field teams, warehouses, fleets or assets to keep track of.
What it turns on
An edition types the whole deployment.
Every domain is present in the platform. An edition decides which of them are rendered to the public, which are operator tools, and which are not there at all.
