What it is

The problem it addresses is bilateral integration. Every counterparty pair builds its own connection, with its own reconciliation, and the cost is quadratic in the number of participants. One standardised settlement surface replaces that with a single integration each.
It carries the full compliance scope — ZRA, the Bank of Zambia, the regulator and AML — because an institution moving other people's money is judged on its worst day. Reconciliation runs continuously rather than at month end, and only exceptions reach a person.
